Classes

Wayne Ballet strongly believes that ballet is the backbone of all other dance forms and has built a reputable formal training program producing successful dancers using this ideology. When we place a student we require that they take the corresponding number of ballet classes per level (Students in Pre School, Primary, Elementary Ballet, Ballet 1, and Ballet 1X must take one ballet class per week; Ballet 2 must take 2 ballet classes per week; Ballet 3 must take 3 classes; and so on).  Jazz, contemporary, and tap classes are only to be taken in addition to (and not in place of) the required number of ballet classes per level as noted above.  This policy is non-negotiable and will be strictly enforced for any students wishing to participate in our annual Nutcracker & Spring Ballet performances.

New students are required to take a placement class in a level recommended by our faculty based on age and previous dance experience. Following the placement class a level and schedule will be assigned.
