Valerie Miller is the Assistant Director at WBCDA. She graduated from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford in 2011 with a BFA in Dance, specifically Ballet Pedagogy. While at Hartt, Valerie performed as an apprentice with Full Force Dance Theater based in Hartford, CT under the direction of Katie Stevinson-Nollet. She has taught ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop, and cheer dance at a number of local dance schools in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area before relocating to the Philadelphia area in 2014. Valerie recently performed as a company member with Opus 1 Contemporary Dance in Philadelphia for the 2016-2017 season. She truly believes that the discipline, self-autonomy, teamwork, and determination that a student learns through dance instruction provides a foundation that allows them to succeed in any direction life takes them. Valerie was recently married and previously listed on our schedule as Valerie Pruce.
